Students,

Following its fall semester beginnings, the University of Arizona’s Department of English is offering a section of English 102 that uses literature by Native American authors and material related to Indigenous Studies.

The class is scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 1 pm under Diné lecturer Steve Pelletier.

Per the University of Arizona website, ENGL 102 is the second-semester writing course taken by most first-year University of Arizona students. Early registration for the course is taking place now via a simple survey.  Students take this survey from the University of Arizona Department of English so they can be enrolled directly in the course.

Throughout the course, students will analyze and determine how these different types of texts are composed and the issues and topics each text presents as important for Indigenous self-representation.
